In the spirit of National Dog Day here are three doggy dental facts you probably didn't know.

1. Dogs have 42 permanent teeth, while humans have 32.

2. Human mouths have way more "microbial flora" or germs than pets' mouths do.

3. Just like for humans, professional pet dental care includes cleaning, exam, and xrays.
